Interior designer Shannon Kadwell met her match when she accepted a job with Bethesda, Md.-based Anthony Wilder Design/Build, whose owners’ motto is “Architecture with Whimsy.” The firm’s mission to inspire homeowners to live the way they’ve always dreamed of living allows Shannon to practice interior design the way she likes to: hyper-focused on the needs, tastes and dreams of her clients. She favors a comfortable palette of soft, subtle off-whites to serve as a backdrop for an eye-popping splash of color—in a backsplash, around a window, on a kitchen island or even in the lighting design. She draws her boundless energy from her clients’ passion for their homes, and she encourages them with her genuine enthusiasm to dream big, share their vision and get exactly what they want.
